The Services Operations Systems & Tools Team seeks an experienced Technical Architect to design and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions that enhance internal operations for the Public Sector. The role requires deep expertise in Salesforce administration, configuration, and customization, with experience across Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, APIs, mobile development, AI, and integration/ETL technologies. The candidate should be comfortable leading large technical projects and supporting both standard and custom-built tools. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, define future-state processes, develop and validate technical use cases, gather requirements, and deliver system enhancements. You will configure, prototype, and test new features while ensuring seamless integration with external systems. A strong understanding of scalable system design, strategic thinking, and effective communication across technical and non-technical teams is essential. Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Lead technical design sessions, architect and document Salesforce solutions, and identify gaps between current capabilities and desired end states. Design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications across custom development, system integrations, and data migrations. Integrate Salesforce with third-party platforms and external data sources using APIs and middleware as needed. Establish and uphold coding standards; conduct code reviews to maintain best practices and high-quality design. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct thorough testing and debugging of Salesforce applications. Design and implement process automation using Salesforce tooling to drive operational efficiency. Support deployments, releases, and environment updates with minimal business disruption. Lead DevOps processes, including environment management, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployments for Salesforce. Mentor Salesforce developers, provide technical leadership, and promote best practices. Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and emerging trends to drive continuous improvement. Communicate progress and risks effectively with global teams. Collaborate with SMEs, Business Architects, and Product Owners to define requirements and validate designs. Coordinate with Salesforce product teams to support solution delivery and platform enhancements. Required Experience / Expertise / Skills
Over 10 years of experience in CRM solutions, with at least 6 years on Salesforce. Proven ability to design and develop large-scale, web-based systems across the full SDLC. Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, scalable and high-performance solutions. Proficiency in design patterns, large data handling, and platform best practices. Strong knowledge of data sharing and visibility models within Salesforce. Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, Apex, and Visualforce. Familiar with Salesforce Einstein Analytics and AI features. Experience with Salesforce API integrations (REST, SOAP) and third-party tools. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required); additional certifications are desirable. Proficient with Git and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce. Understanding of cloud concepts and the broader Salesforce product suite. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies. Experience in environment and release management, source control, and deployment practices. Adept at working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams. Desired Experience / Expertise / Skills
Salesforce Administrator and Advanced Administrator certifications with hands-on product experience. Familiarity with CRM data management and Certinia’s PSA/financial tools. Experience in customer-facing consulting, delivering tailored Salesforce solutions. Background in Sales Operations and/or Professional Services; understanding of operational workflows. Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ), and system integration. Ability to develop documentation including use cases, user stories, and requirements. Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prototype solutions, test, and support adoption.
