Operational Excellence Specialist 2 at Bayer. Operational excellence enables Self-Directed Operating Teams to take ownership for outcomes such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Cash, Motivation, and Sustainability in PH-PS, driving value for customers through higher service levels, lower costs, and more stable, reliable processes. The OE team and related clusters drive development and implementation of the Product Supply System (PSS) and continuous improvement to meet product needs. Your Tasks And Responsibilities

Show a culture of ownership and accountability through VACC Leadership, implementing PSS as a key enabler for operational excellence across the site, driving transformation projects, promoting best practices exchanges, and continuous improvement initiatives. Co-Lead a PSS Pillar, defining capabilities needed to achieve short-term, mid-term, and long-term outcomes aligned with the organization’s mission. Support the site in achieving financial targets through benchmarking, methods, and standards co-creation within the Pillar structure according to DSO principles. Facilitate data-driven decision-making by selecting/developing KPIs and supporting the site strategy process to ensure alignment across all levels. Support the site strategy process to ensure delivery on outcomes, enable deployment, and support capability clusters on-site to translate strategies to all levels (e.g., with PDCA). Co-create standardized processes that enhance efficiency and consistency, collaborating with capability clusters and product teams to tailor PSS standards to meet operational, product, and customer needs. Take ownership to deliver on business targets and co-create transparency and improvement opportunities with sites, product teams, and capability clusters to implement sustainable solutions, including digital enablers. Engage with stakeholders to establish and achieve financial targets through development, deployment, and execution of OE tools and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies in harmony with the evolving PSS toolkit. Leverage the network to accelerate results by facilitating knowledge exchange within the OE community, including digital solutions. Facilitate and coordinate Capability Gembas, and support talent development to achieve business outcomes. Co-create and facilitate PSS/DSO-related training and workshops, gather feedback to improve training effectiveness, and ensure effective talent flow and pillar content. Serve as an OE member or key contact for the Site Leadership team, as required by site needs and cluster capabilities. Collaborate with other OE Cluster members to guide resource allocation across the site to maximize business impact. Perform other duties as required to support site and network demand for OE capabilities and capacity. Who You Are

Required Qualifications : University degree in engineering, science, pharmacy, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Experience in production/operations, operational excellence, and/or technical functions in large organizations, with knowledge of Lean Six Sigma. Ability to demonstrate visionary, architect, catalyst, and coach leadership behaviors and teach others. Authentic self-awareness; proactive in seeking and providing feedback; aware of business and external trends. Focus on delivering impactful team, talent, and organizational outcomes; collaborate with accountability; co-create customer solutions. Ability to operate in 90-day cycles, adapt quickly, and continuously improve while respecting inclusion. Forward-thinking leadership; ability to resolve conflicts in line with Bayer objectives and empower teams to succeed. Willingness to take calculated risks and make bold decisions. Skilled communicator with proficiency in English; able to connect with diverse individuals and support meaningful analysis for decision-making. Limited travel required; flexibility to adjust work hours for meetings outside standard times. Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $106,747 – $160,120. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission where relevant. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.
