Overview

The Research Coordinator assists in the execution of research projects and coordinates project activities for the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety (FTS). This position serves as a key resource for managing logistics, maintaining documentation, and supporting experimental research, while also acting as a liaison between technical staff, executive leadership, and research participants. The Research Coordinator provides additional support to the AAA Foundation's President and Executive Director, Technical Director, and other team members as needed. Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with in-house research projects, including coordinating Driving Simulation Laboratory activities, preparing and scheduling meetings for driving simulation experiments, and managing research participants. May support data processing and analyses, preparing research documents, and other project-related activities. Carry out other assignments as needed, such as responding to requests regarding research inquiries, providing support to other AAA Foundation associates on various research activities, and supporting other office or organizational activities. Perform other related tasks, requests and directives issued from management as required. Recruit, schedule, and manage research participants for driving simulation experiments and other studies. Maintain detailed logs and databases of research activities. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards in handling data and participant information. Assist with submitting reports and documentation as required. Physical attendance in the company's office is required on a schedule approved by the AAA Foundation leadership team. Requirements, Competencies, and Certifications

Good written and oral communication skills; speaks and presents ideas with clarity and conciseness; able to follow instructions. Works collegially in both interpersonal and team relationships. Strong time management and organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, human factors, experimental psychology, statistics, or public health. One (1) or more years of research support experience in traffic or transportation issues is preferred. Hiring Range

$66,930 - $76,140 This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan. Work Environment & Policies
