Overview
Senior Director, Relationship Marketing Strategy you will report into the VP, Relationship Marketing Strategy and join a team of experienced marketers who focus on helping Merkle clients achieve their business goals. You will be a key member of our client account team and will ensure that the programs we execute are based on a deep understanding of our client’s business and strategic objectives. You will be a trusted advisor to the client and Merkle account team, blending analytic and creative thinking to solve client problems and drive execution. Those ideas must cross services to achieve the client objective and be applicable across diverse client scenarios. As a Senior Director, you will demonstrate experience in planning across media and channels, developing campaigns that generate measurable ROI, and working across core verticals (Insurance, Financial Services, Non-Profit, Retail, Automotive, Travel, Media & Entertainment, B2B, High Tech).
Responsibilities
Lead the building, development, and delivery of strategic omni-channel marketing plans. Be a subject matter expert and translate new technology—particularly 1st party data marketing and CRM—into new marketing ideas for the client. Show a strong understanding of differences in marketing to customers in different verticals and environments. Develop trusted, long-term relationships with key client contacts and executives. Ensure meaningful client value is delivered through best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and original thinking. Collaborate with team leadership (account management, operations, creative, analytics) and partner agencies to turn ideas into executable plans. Identify key data points and measurements to show the impact of our approach and strategy on the client’s business.
You Have / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required. 10+ years of experience in data-driven marketing – specifically CRM, email, online/offline media. Deep understanding of the customer lifecycle and how messaging strategy drives the experience. 5+ years working in an agency or consulting firm. Experience developing solutions to support the sale of new services to clients. Hands-on skills using data and research to drive decisions; proficiency in Excel and research tools. Strong writing, presentation and client-facing communication skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations. Attention to detail and ability to incorporate internal and external feedback on an iterative basis. Superior multi-tasking, networking, time management and interpersonal skills. Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, and persuasion skills. Comfort working in a matrixed organization with a wide latitude of responsibilities. Average 20-50% travel (based on client needs).
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000-$219,650. Placement within the range is based on experience and other factors. This position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401k, flexible paid time off, at least 15 paid holidays, paid sick and safe leave, and paid parental leave.
