This role focuses on leading regional brand strategy for Jim Beam in one of our top global markets, with ownership of key regional projects and the autonomy to drive decisions and provide category expertise. The spirits industry is dynamic and fast-paced. This position involves setting and implementing regional brand strategy in conjunction with cross-functional partners (Sales, Global Brand Marketing, Finance, Consumer Insights, etc.) and leading cross-functional teams and external agencies to develop plans that elevate the Jim Beam portfolio. Responsibilities
Develop and lead the Jim Beam portfolio strategy, delivering brand programs and experiences that elevate brand equity and meet annual KPI targets for volume, sales, and profit growth. Lead brand-building efforts for the Jim Beam portfolio, sharpen regional strategy, and elevate brand experiences to strengthen consumer connections. Serve as in-market liaison to facilitate communication, planning, and execution between Global and market specialist teams (channel, insights, and sales). Provide market-relevant insights to Global brand teams to drive strategic alignment and portfolio optimization. Analyze key business metrics (brand equity, consumer sentiment, distribution, velocity, profitability, pricing) and recommend actions. Analyze and recommend on brand experiences and activities, including product, pricing, promotion, and distribution; manage detailed budget and forecast with finance partners to monitor ROI. Lead annual brand planning and cross-functional program development and execution to ensure alignment with brand objectives. Develop cross-functional program briefs and maintain cohesion across touchpoints (Experiential, PR, Media, Sampling, etc.) while aligning with brand objectives. Collaborate with Channel Teams to ensure omnichannel plans are on-brand and impactful; develop local programs that support annual plans and elevate the brand across touchpoints. Provide brand expertise to cross-functional partners and Global Brand House representatives; guide mid-term plans with local consumer and channel insights. Build relationships with Marketing, Insights, Channel teams, market specialists, Commercial Planning, Sales, and Distributors to drive cohesive execution. Ensure promotional materials are clear, compelling, and up to date, including program overviews and digital assets. Demonstrate curiosity about consumer goods and spirits to exchange information and stay informed on competitive factors and product quality. Qualifications
8-10 years of consumer marketing/brand experience MBA preferred Travel 15-20% (mainly domestic) Proven ability to execute brand/marketing projects aligned with overall Brand strategy Self-starter with ability to navigate ambiguity and lead a team in a new strategic role Experience repositioning brands locally Experience working across and gaining credibility within an organization Experience in or with commercial sales or field marketing Multicultural marketing experience is a plus Experience in beverage alcohol industry and/or three-tiered distribution system is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to evangelize the brand to local teams Salary Range for this role based in Chicago is $165,000 to $180,000, plus annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. Salary is commensurate with location, experience, and skillset.
