Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and leading the company's Finance function. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role responsible for building financial and operational infrastructure to support aggressive revenue growth and long-term sustainability. Near term

Move company to best practice on controllership and financial management Improve and streamline the monthly close process Implement rigorous cash flow forecasting Implement improvements to internal spend and cash controls Integrate add-on acquisitions and help lead M&A Lead and execute systems integrations (e.g., finance systems, HR, centralize cash management) Provide accurate pro-forma financial reporting Identify, and capture synergies in integration Develop a repeatable, effective financial reporting process Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting mechanisms and provide an operating pack each month Work with other functions to quantify and track KPIs that drive value creation Design & implement a standardized process to be followed when updating the package Codify and drive the annual budgeting process Take the organization through an efficient, rigorous budgeting process Partner with the CEO, CoS, ELT to refine the 2026 value creation plan Review billing and revenue recognition processes, and partner with the technology team to implement improved billing systems/transaction processes Evaluate migrating existing finance systems to upgraded platforms to improve financial reporting, analysis quality, and scalability Longer term

Think holistically about the business, advise and execute on acquisitions and integrations, make pricing recommendations and craft business strategy Build out a fit-for-purpose finance team that can execute transactions, drive business decision making through excellent reporting and analysis Execute on an ambitious growth path through effective capital allocation Lead additional functions such as HR, IT, Administrative Qualifications and Experience

7-10+ years of finance leadership experience in a private equity backed company setting (B2G/government contracting experience preferred) Strong accounting background and controllership fundamentals Experience with M&A transactions and post-merger integrations Experience implementing new ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage) in PE-backed environments Deep expertise in FP&A, cash flow forecasting, and financial modeling Experience leading compliance, risk management, board and lender reporting Track record of building scalable finance functions in PE-backed companies Strong knowledge of automation and billing platforms Hands-on experience with HR oversight and third-party HR management Location

The preference is for this role to be in-person in our Washington, D.C. office; open to candidates located nearby in Maryland or Virginia or in a hybrid travel setup Benefits

Full-time position with salary and equity based on experience; compensation range $200,000 to $250,000 per year Preference for Chicagoland or Raleigh-Durham, with openness to candidates in a hybrid travel setup (up to 50% travel) Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and a 401k retirement plan with matching contribution Seniority level
