Net/Sys Admin II - Network/System Administrator role at
Watermark Risk Management International, LLC . The primary function is to organize, install, and support government organization’s computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. The position may involve helping architect, design and analyze network models and participating in decisions about future hardware or software to upgrade the organization’s infrastructure. This role supports activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) for DoD agencies and provides day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SAP activities. Responsibilities
Perform with little to no oversight Lead IT operations team on day-to-day management and operations of networks and implement capabilities vetted through Cybersecurity, ISSE and higher headquarters to maintain JSIG/RMF Authority to Operate and continuous monitoring tools and processes Manage COTS & GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security and system operations/performance functions and metrics Assist during security assessments of servers, network devices, and security appliances Assist with security assessments with regard to accuracy and efficiency Assist with creation of O&M checklists to maintain the service; develop TTPs and SOPs related to service checklists Manage and operate monitoring tools within enterprise SIEM; tailor complex event alarms/rules and generate summary reports Execute cybersecurity operations procedures for day-to-day network management, operations, and maintenance Monitor/analyze output of cybersecurity tools for security incidents and residual risk Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes Support as part of a security incident response team as needed Assist ISSM/ISSO/ISSE with integration/development of techniques to improve confidentiality, integrity, and availability across classification levels Demonstrate advanced technical competency in platforms such as Windows Server, Active Directory, RHEL, hypervisors, enterprise networking/firewalls/IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessment, GPO management, scripting, and related security tools Utilize toolkits, SEIMs, and vulnerability scanners (e.g., LogRhythm, Nessus/SCAP) and implement access control concepts Additional duties as assigned Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years related experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience (4 years) Certifications: DoD Directive 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of hire; IAT Level III certification preferred (e.g., CASP, CISSP) Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility; eligibility for access to SAP information; willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph Other requirements: Knowledge of Windows and Linux administration, Group Policy, CISCO networking, virtualization, backup technologies, COMSEC policies, Risk Management Framework, and DoD policy as it applies to system and network administration Physical/working requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; potential sedentary work; regular travel between buildings Soft skills: Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and leadership abilities SAP experience: All Level I & II positions require SAP experience; Level III requires 2+ years of SAP experience Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated compensation range for this position is
