Senior Materials Manager Energy Storage Essential Duties:

Redwood Materials is currently searching for a Senior Materials Manager to join as an early member of the Supply chain team. In this role you will manage supplier relationships and raw material planning to ensure supply continuity and cost efficiency; mitigate risks, maintain inventory accuracy, and handle ERP functions. Support strategic objectives through procurement documentation, issue escalation, and development of analytical tools for supply chain optimization.

Responsibilities will include:

Interface with suppliers to ensure flawless execution at the tactical level while supporting strategic-level corporate objectives

Identify supply risks and mitigate them

Interface with suppliers to request quotations and create purchase orders to ensure continuity of raw material supply and minimize cost

Participate and plan short- and long-range raw material planning

Document information relating to receipt, storage and distribution of materials

Escalate key product and material issues to management

Create analytical tools and models to identify, quantify and minimize risks in supply chain

Ensure inventory accuracy and manage inventory controls

Perform ERP functions relating to material tracking, BOM costing and production

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in business or equivalent relevant experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a supply chain role

Successfully performed purchasing in a manufacturing environment with supplier interactions

Solid written and oral communication skills

Ability to communicate accomplishments, obstacles, issues and status clearly and concisely to project team members and management

Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions

ERP system experience

Preferred capability: Fluency in Mandarin

Physical Requirements:

Wear proper PPE when necessary

Working Conditions:

Environment: office, machine shop, outdoor test sites

Travel required as needed

The position is full-time and located in San Francisco, CA. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

In accordance with California pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and skills.

California Pay Range:

$97,000 - $131,000 USD
