Overview
Senior Materials Manager, Energy Storage Redwood Materials is currently searching for a Senior Materials Manager to join as an early member of the Supply Chain team. In this role you will manage supplier relationships and raw material planning to ensure supply continuity and cost efficiency; mitigate risks, maintain inventory accuracy, and handle ERP functions. Support strategic objectives through procurement, documentation, issue escalation, and development of analytical tools for supply chain optimization. Responsibilities
Interface with suppliers to ensure flawless execution at the tactical level while supporting strategic-level corporate objectives Identify supply risks and mitigate them Interface with suppliers to request quotations and create purchase orders to ensure continuity of raw material supply and minimize cost Plan short- and long-range raw material planning Document information relating to receipt, storage, and distribution of materials Escalate key product and material issues to management Create analytical tools and models to identify, quantify and minimize risks in the supply chain Ensure inventory accuracy and manage inventory controls Perform ERP functions relating to material tracking, BOM costing and production Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent relevant experience Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in a supply chain role Experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment with supplier interactions Solid written and oral communication skills Ability to communicate accomplishments, obstacles, issues and status clearly to project teams and management Organization, flexibility, and adaptability to changing conditions ERP system experience Preferred: Fluency in Mandarin Physical and Working Conditions
Wear proper PPE when necessary Travel required as needed The position is full-time and located in San Francisco, CA. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. In accordance with California pay transparency laws, the salary range is $97,000 - $131,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skills.
