Overview

CT Technologist role at Sutter Health. This position requires performing routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Work independently with sound judgment, ensure patient safety and privacy, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers. May perform specific procedures and/or help orient other staff to the department. Responsibilities

Competently perform routine and specialized CT procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Assess patients, monitor for safety, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers. Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety during patient care. May perform additional procedures as assigned and assist with orientation of department staff. Education

Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technologist Program Certification & Licensure

CRT — Certified Radiologic Technologist (state where work is performed) BLS — Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider RHF — Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate Typical Experience

Recent relevant experience preferred Skills and Knowledge

General knowledge of diagnostic CT principles, procedures, views, and equipment; ability to respond to traumas and hospital emergencies Ability to perform routine CT examinations and understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain information clearly to diverse audiences Time management, organization, and ability to prioritize within standardized procedures Familiarity with computer applications (Microsoft Office) and radiology information systems (RIS, LIS, EHR/EPIC, PACS) Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and maintain patient privacy (PHI) Collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers to achieve department and organizational objectives Job Details
