Overview Katten is a full-service law firm with approximately 700 attorneys in locations across the United States and in London and Shanghai. Responsibilities
Focus on cross-practice collaboration and client growth through the firm’s Client Service Team, Sector Connect and Client Feedback Programs.
Work closely with attorneys, business development colleagues, and other internal stakeholders to execute these programs for assigned client and sector teams.
Orchestrate strategic meetings, advance cross-functional business development efforts, and guide integrated pursuit and growth plans.
Identify clients and sectors that may benefit from coordinated, team-based approaches; launch new client and sector teams aligned with firm priorities.
Support broader business development requests from practices and partners, including strategic pitch opportunities and client/industry targeting.
Provide support for lateral integration and attorney coaching initiatives as needed.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Business Development team to drive firm-wide business development activity and align with marketing efforts.
Supervise and manage business development team members where applicable, following firm policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field; ten or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Significant business development experience; prior experience in a large legal or professional services firm is preferred.
Proven ability to drive cross-practice client expansion and foster collaboration among attorneys and business development professionals.
Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of legal services business, client relationship management, and ability to articulate the firm’s value proposition.
Ability to travel occasionally and lift/move materials up to 20 pounds as needed.
Location & Schedule Location: Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas, New York, or Washington, D.C. Hybrid work model (KattenFlex) available.
Compensation & Benefits In our Chicago office, the annualized salary range is $160,000 to $205,000. Actual pay based on experience and other factors. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k with employer contribution, parental leave, transportation fringe benefit program, back-up care option, generous paid time off, and disability policies.
