$151,000.00/yr - $216,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Review, analyze and advise on online safety legislation—particularly youth-related legislation—across a wide range of issues. Develop suggested amendments when appropriate and provide rationale supporting positions on youth-related legislation. Evaluate the implications of youth-related legislation and regulation on Meta’s apps, services, features, functionality, and business operations. Share learnings with relevant policy, legal, product, and operational teams. Assist the public policy team in conveying the implications of proposed legislation to policymakers, thought leaders, advocates, civil society, and the tech industry. Consider youth-related legislation within local, national, regional, and global contexts and provide insights to shape Meta’s legislative and policy strategy; support ongoing development of the youth legislative strategy. Minimum Qualifications

J.D. and Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of experience in technology safety and policy issues and legislative review, with understanding of applicable regulatory and self-regulatory regimes Knowledge of Meta apps, features, platform, policies, and operations, plus knowledge of the online safety landscape Strong communication, analytic, organizational, and writing skills Ability to work in a deadline-focused environment, manage multiple projects, collaborate with multiple teams, and provide concise and focused advice Willingness to travel and to handle calls across different time zones Preferred Qualifications
