Graduate Program Director in Endodontics

— University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Adams School of Dentistry. This is a full-time, permanent faculty position (Open Rank) located in North Carolina, US. The appointment type is Open Rank with 40 hours per week and a 1.0 FTE. The position serves as the Graduate Program Director of Endodontics, overseeing the three-year Master Program in Endodontics, including resident recruitment, curriculum development, scheduling, and program administration. This role includes responsibilities in research, scholarly publishing, and participation in the Dental Faculty Practice, in alignment with school and university expectations. The position is open until filled; proposed start date is 07/01/2025.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the three-year Master Program in Endodontics (resident recruitment, curriculum development, scheduling, and program administration).

Engage in research and scholarly publishing related to endodontics and dental education.

Participate in Dental Faculty Practice in alignment with school and university expectations.

Collaborate with departmental leadership to meet accreditation, policy, and strategic goals.

Minimum Education and Experience Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or equivalent degree; advanced training in Endodontics; board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics or board-eligible by the American Board of Endodontics.

Preferred Qualifications

Significant clinical and academic experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities Leadership, administrative, supervisory, and CODA accreditation experiences are preferred. This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act and will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual reporting training.
