Travel at least 50%. Lead and develop Area Operations Managers and their teams; train, motivate, direct work, manage performance, resolve associate issues, and strive to meet or exceed performance targets while fostering a culture of safety, engagement, ownership, and collaboration. Contribute to the development of capital expenditure budgets and coordinate expenditures within the area after approvals. Coordinate with the region Safety management team to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, state regulations, and company SOPs and policies. Support review of production orders and schedules to obtain product data and plan efficient, cost-effective operations that meet customer needs and satisfaction. Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and delays. Implement and revise standard operational practices within the assigned area as needed. Partner with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues; provide training and equipment to Operations employees to perform their jobs safely and efficiently. Lead by example in safety; manage safety and health in compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations. Use performance metrics and dashboard data to identify opportunities for efficiency, movement of cylinders/products, and staffing; drive actions for improved performance. Conduct monthly site visits with Area Operations Managers to provide guidance on performance, safety, compliance, audits, and training gaps. Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or related field required. In lieu of degree, up to 4 years of additional relevant experience may be accepted, plus a high school diploma or GED. At least 5 years of increasing leadership responsibility in production or operations, with preference for prior packaged gases industry experience. Experience in developing operations strategies and managing a budget. Experience driving a safety culture. Preferred Qualifications
