Overview Security Specialist role at KBR, Inc. in El Segundo, CA. An active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Enforce and monitor security procedures.

Ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures related to physical access, clearances, packages, documentation, and debriefings.

Conduct security briefings and maintain security education programs as needed.

Investigate losses and security violations; recommend corrective action as appropriate.

Maintain liaison with outside agencies and keep upper management informed of security activities.

Assist in revision of procedures manuals.

Demonstrate accountability for own work and contribute to team objectives; work within guidelines and policies.

Explain complex information to others in straightforward terms.

Required Qualifications

5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. 6 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

Ability to apply technical expertise; knowledge of related disciplines may be required.

Work is performed under limited direction; exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

Completed work may be reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for quality results.

No formal supervisory responsibility.

Location and Schedule

Location: On-site in El Segundo, CA.

Travel Requirements: Minimal.

Working Hours: Standard; 40 hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits Basic Compensation:

$100,000 to $125,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience, with consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation per internal policy or contractual designation. This may include sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
