KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.

Location El Segundo, CA (On-site)

Key Responsibilities

Deeply involved in the design, testing and implementation of state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products.

Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for application design.

Address a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.

Analyze across all levels of total system product including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Utilize encryption technology, perform penetration and vulnerability analysis of security technologies, and conduct IT security research.

Design and develop new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.

Translate customer or product requirements into total systems solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, create cyber security architectural artifacts, perform architectural analysis, and address future needs and trends; embed advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction; provide engineering recommendations; resolve integration/testing issues.

May interface with external entities including law enforcement and intelligence/government agencies.

Required Qualifications

5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

Ability to apply technical expertise; may have knowledge of related disciplines.

Work is performed under limited direction; exercises latitude in determining technical objectives.

Completed work may be reviewed from a long-term perspective for desired results.

No formal supervisory responsibility.

Schedule & Compensation

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $100,000 to $125,000

Additional Compensation: Bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation may be offered per internal policy or contractual designation (sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, incentives, etc.).
