One of the leading Quant Trading Firms is looking to expand its Infrastructure team with a highly skilled Network Engineer. For over 30 years, the firm has delivered outstanding results and has established itself as a leader in Options Market Making.
This tech-driven trading firm operates with a flat and collaborative culture, more similar to a high-performance tech company than a traditional financial institution. Engineers work closely with traders and researchers, avoiding bureaucracy and fostering real ownership of their work.
Responsibilities as a Network Engineer
Provide technical expertise to support a high-frequency trading floor in a high-paced market-making environment.
Identify, design and implement network optimizations.
Automate and eliminate manual elements of the network infrastructure.
Assist with planned upgrades, maintenance and configurations (migrations, expansions, hardware, and software upgrades).
Ensure all aspects of the WAN network function correctly across global data centers and colocations.
Contribute to capacity planning, connectivity improvements and traffic flow optimization.
Highly passionate about networking monitoring, performance and capacity planning.
Experience with LAN and WAN technologies.
Comfortable working in a multi-vendor environment (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto).
In depth experience with network transport and routing protocols (TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast).
Experience with firewalls and network security.
Confident with a variety of network monitoring and alerting tools.
Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues, via presentation or documentation.
Preferably proficient in Python scripting for automation but not required.
