Responsibilities Play a key role in managing and evolving the global network infrastructure that supports high-performance trading systems. Develop and implement strategies to improve network efficiency, reduce latency, and scale infrastructure to meet business demands. Eliminate manual processes through automation, with a focus on reliability and repeatability. Oversee complex changes including hardware/software upgrades, data center expansions, and carrier transitions. Maintain and enhance global WAN operations, ensuring consistent connectivity and performance across diverse geographic regions. Contribute to long-term planning around network capacity, traffic optimization, and infrastructure standardization. Qualifications Strong interest in building and maintaining high-performance network environments, particularly within time-sensitive and data-heavy systems. Solid grounding in enterprise and wide-area networking technologies, along with deep understanding of key protocols like TCP/UDP, BGP, OSPF, and Multicast. Hands-on experience with hardware and software from multiple vendors, including routing, switching, and security platforms. Familiarity with firewall management and security best practices in high-stakes environments. Skilled in using diagnostic and monitoring tools to troubleshoot and optimize network performance. Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus points for scripting experience (especially in Python), exposure to low-latency environments, or knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tooling and telemetry systems.
