Overview
The Executive Producer is part of the Studio Blue team of producers, creatives, and coordinators that partner with internal and external partners in A/V, design and build, and logistics. Responsibilities include establishing program best practices and efficient workflow for internal and cross-functional teams, partners, and clients. The position supports the opportunity engagement process from proposals and RFPs through reconciliation, including creating and managing associated budgets on assigned programs. This role supports Freeman’s Audio Visual and Event Technology team and offers a hybrid schedule (in-office and/or show-site 2–3 days per week). Based locations include Dallas, TX; Las Vegas, NV; or Orlando, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drive overall program operations, budget, and workflow.
Develop, manage, and grow senior-level relationships with clients to position Studio Blue as a strategic advisor and partner.
Oversee producers, internal and external direct reports, and teams from program inception through delivery.
Source and manage resources for live event activations (general sessions, breakouts, launches, press events, consumer activations, performances, special events, galas) through broad industry connections.
Oversee multimillion-dollar client relationships with budget and profit management; ensure quality and adherence to agency standards and client objectives.
Develop engagement strategies and coordinate with workstream leads to execute for project success and account utilization (goals, deliverables, schedule, budget, resources).
Manage program budget profitability by partnering with sales to create budget estimates, negotiate statements of work, and issue supplier POs; ensure costs are accounted for and paid.
Participate in strategic development of new business.
Train and mentor junior staff on Studio Blue’s methodology and production management practices.
Advocate social engagement to reinforce brand presence and expertise.
Contribute to the division’s strategic plan and ensure operational leadership and adherence.
Travel to site visits, meetings, and show sites as needed.
Maximize efficiency and optimize workflow, production, and operations using internal and partner resources.
Lead program development across functional groups and multiple agencies, including managing meetings, timelines, logs, and general project management for content development (theme/messaging, speaker support, video, digital activations, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience accepted.
8 to 10 years of experience in agency and production spaces, specializing in creative & strategy, multi-dimensional design, program development, and execution for Fortune 500 clients.
Significant experience managing all aspects of live events, including AV for entertainment and live show production, graphics, event flow, digital activations, IT, video and content production, and venue logistics.
Extensive General Session Executive Producer experience (minimum 5 years) with responsibilities including hiring lead positions and understanding on-site technical processes.
Experience with multiple project types (live events, consumer marketing, web, mobile, video, brand, and strategic consulting).
Program and budget management experience exceeding $1–2 million.
Ability to translate creative concepts into real-life brand experiences and deliver measurable client results.
Strong presentation, verbal, and written communications skills.
Ability to think quickly under pressure and motivate the team to achieve high-quality results.
Proven track record of managing million-dollar accounts and delivering diplomacy and tact in diverse situations.
Agile, creative mindset with leadership, team-building, and customer-service skills.
Excellent negotiation skills, including contract negotiations.
