Job Description
The Director of Finance is responsible for Sanderson Firm’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulations as well as providing key financial information to support financial decision-making. This is a remote position, that may require quarterly visits to our corporate office in Bradenton, FL. Responsibilities
Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk. Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. Quality Control over our weekly, monthly billing Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance. Produces monthly, quarterly, as well as annual budgets and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to the CEO. Provides financial analysis to the CEO, with emphasis on profitability, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Works with external auditors and provides the necessary information for the annual audit. Provides strategic financial guidance and strategy to the CEO, to optimize the revenue performance of the company. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required. 3-5 years or more of related experience required. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Seniority level
