COMPENSATION ANALYST, Human Resources, Compensation — Boston University Position: Compensation Analyst in Human Resources, Compensation. The role coordinates the daily transactional review of compensation-related inquiries and requests, evaluates new job titles and conducts ongoing reclassification evaluations, and advises on compensation levels for new hire offers through thorough analyses to ensure competitiveness and equity. Other responsibilities include participating in University-wide compensation competitive analysis, supporting enhancements to compensation tools and processes, and collaborating with the HR team to ensure compensation programs remain market-competitive. The role also supports regulatory projects and detailed compensation analysis and reporting to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities may include creating and maintaining compensation tools, resources, and frameworks. Responsibilities

Coordinate daily transactional review of compensation-related inquiries and requests. Evaluate new job titles and conduct ongoing reclassification evaluations. Advise on compensation levels for new hire offers by conducting thorough analyses to ensure competitiveness and equity. Participate in University-wide compensation competitive analysis, including third-party surveys, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of external and internal benchmarking. Coordinate special projects such as enhancements to JDXpert job description database software and PayScale salary survey software, enhancements to current compensation processes, and evaluations of new compensation programs. Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compensation programs are competitive in the market. Provide support for other compensation-related projects, including regulatory projects, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations through detailed compensation analysis and reporting. Assist in the creation and maintenance of compensation tools, resources, and frameworks. Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent, related experience. Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Skills

Comfortable working in a broad role and undertaking a variety of activities. Microsoft Excel proficiency, proven data analysis and presentation experience. Client service focus and strong relationship management skills. High attention to detail and value placed on accuracy. Collaborative orientation.
