Reserving Actuary

$140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Management of the quarterly reserve analysis, by understanding the programs to make informed selections Management of the quarterly reserving data preparation and reconciliation Working with the Chief Actuary and experienced team members to set company reserving best estimates Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and risk teams, ensuring reserving results are communicated clearly to stakeholders Work with claims to assess Case Reserve adequacy with an annual implemented update of initial case reserves Provide insights on program performance, emerging trends, and risks Work to support the actuarial team on day-to-day tasks such as Pricing indications, ad hoc requests and data support Work closely with the product, claims and underwriting teams to help support program decisions Ideal candidates

Minimum Level: ACAS or above Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related discipline Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience Experience of WTW ResQ reserving software Proficient in the use of MS Office and SQL Ability to answer qualitative questions quantitatively Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; ability to communicate complex and challenging topics to colleagues and stakeholders in simple, easy-to-understand language Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and research skills
