About the Role Crisis Connections seeks a visionary, results-driven Vice President of Clinical Care to provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of behavioral health crisis services. This role shapes and advances trauma-informed, equitable, and evidence-based care across the crisis continuum (prevention to intervention to postvention). As Vice President, you will oversee clinical operations, program development, workforce training, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and foster relationships with contractors, funders, and community partners. You will be a key member of the executive leadership team and set strategic direction for clinical initiatives that expand access, improve outcomes, and strengthen system-wide impact. This role requires a transformative leader who inspires teams, drives innovation, and ensures clinical programs meet high standards of excellence. You will help shape the future of behavioral health crisis services in the region. Team Scope : Leads a team that includes multiple Clinical Directors (988, 911 Diversion, Regional Crisis Care, Recovery & Peer Services), a Social Work Practicum Manager, and a Clinical Training Manager. What You’ll Be Doing Clinical Oversight:

Ensure clinical standards, supervision for staff and volunteers, and timely documentation. Relevant & Equitable Care Delivery:

Deliver high-quality, culturally relevant care; promote DEI; respond to community needs to maintain effectiveness and equity. Program Management:

Oversee day-to-day mental health and/or substance use programs; develop policies, ensure quality and impact goals, and define roles and responsibilities. Workforce Hiring, Training & Development:

Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, onboard, and supervise clinical staff; ensure access to licensure supervision where possible. Performance Management:

Guide program leaders to align with mission and values; provide timely feedback and address issues. Compliance:

Ensure compliance with contracts, laws, regulations, and professional ethics; serve as Privacy Officer. Quality Improvement:

Monitor and improve clinical services; establish metrics and lead continuous improvement. Collaboration:

Partner with Operations on SLAs, scheduling, process improvements, and technology initiatives. Funder & Partner Relations:

Maintain relationships with funders and partners; provide reports and address concerns promptly. Budgeting & Financial Oversight:

Work with CEO and VP of Finance to manage clinical program budgets. Knowledge And Abilities Extensive knowledge of public behavioral health systems Extensive knowledge of suicide prevention and crisis management Strong leadership, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills Clear, diplomatic, effective communication Analytical judgment for decision making Change management and strategic planning abilities Ability to build and inspire teams; accountability for self and others Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays Willingness to travel across Washington state What You Will Bring Master’s degree in psychology/counseling or social work Mental Health Professional as defined by WAC 246-341-0200 Independent licensure as LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW in Washington or eligibility for licensure Minimum five years of executive-level management experience Minimum eight years directing behavioral health programs Technological Requirement Smartphone with the Microsoft MFA app For Remote / Hybrid positions High-speed internet (wired preferred).
