Venture Capital Business Development Manager, Early Stage, Google Cloud Overview In this role, you will engage with early-stage and seed-focused Venture Capital (VC) in the region to accelerate growth of high-potential startups with Google Cloud. You will collaborate with Google Cloud and Alphabet startup teams to foster Google Cloud usage among VC portfolio companies and build partnerships with Cloud’s Startup and Business Teams. You will become a go-to Google Cloud representative for the VC and Startup communities.

Responsibilities

Serve as trusted advisor and thought leader to Early Stage and Seed-focused Venture Capital General Partners, acting as the eyes and ears of Google Cloud within VC funds.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver events, content and offers to VCs and startups.

Empower VCs and startups to fully utilize Google Cloud and Google products.

Engage the assigned portfolio of VC firms to drive pipeline and business growth opportunities for Google Cloud in partnership with the Startup Success and Business Teams.

Plan regular reviews with VCs on their portfolios.

Qualifications Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience in business development in the enterprise software or cloud space.

Experience with early stage startup community and tech ecosystem.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience as a founder, early-stage operator, or technical investor within the enterprise software/cloud ecosystem.

Ability to form working relationships across technical and business functions in multiple companies.

Ability to create compelling ROI value propositions.

Ability to embrace ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing demands of the business.

Excellent business development skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple complex, evolving projects in parallel.

Excellent collaboration skills, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive other stakeholders without reporting authority.

Compensation The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
