District Sales Manager - Northern California
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven District Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, experience in selling analytical instruments or related products, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. The candidate should possess a technical background with a preference given to chemists and chemical engineers, though requisite experience in technical sales will be considered. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. The District Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned district.
Develop, maintain, and execute a sales pipeline.
Meet and exceed sales goals along the outline with number of customer visits, calls, and opportunities generated.
Ability to cold call is required
Identify and target new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs.
Collaborate with the technical support team to provide customers with product information, demonstrations, and technical support as needed.
Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to management.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and customer support, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Engineering, Business) is preferred.
Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in sales, with a preference for experience in analytical instruments or related technology products.
Strong understanding of the water analysis industry and its applications is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the assigned district.
A proactive and results-oriented mindset.
