Based in San Jose, CA, area | Regional Travel Required We’re seeking a
District Sales Manager
to lead sales efforts in and around
San Jose, California . This role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional with experience in analytical instruments or related technologies. If you're passionate about science, sales, and building customer relationships, we want to hear from you! What You’ll Do Develop and execute strategic sales plans to exceed targets in the region. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through cold calls, customer visits, and opportunity generation. Identify new business prospects while nurturing existing relationships. Collaborate with technical teams to deliver product demos and support. Prepare compelling sales presentations and proposals. Negotiate contracts with favorable terms. Report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events. Work cross-functionally with marketing and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred). 3–5 years of sales experience, ideally in analytical instruments or technical products. Knowledge of the water analysis industry is a plus. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Sacramento region and nearby areas. A proactive, results-oriented mindset.
