Early Career Trial Attorney, $10k Sign-on Bonus (Remote - California). Join the legal frontline and defend both the insured and the Company. As a Trial Attorney, you will handle bodily injury and property damage litigation, including trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Provide counsel to business clients and coordinate with legal teams while monitoring new laws and regulations to keep strategies sharp. Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including initial case assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, pre-trial negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Gather, organize, and analyze documents, evidence, and legal research for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions. Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and precedents; prepare summaries and reports. Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents. Interview clients and witnesses; draft summaries and maintain communication records. Attend court hearings, depositions, and related proceedings; may represent the company in routine matters. Monitor changes in laws and regulations and inform the legal team of potential impacts on ongoing cases. Participate in training and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and exposure to more complex work. Education

Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar. Minimum Requirements

Strong legal research, writing, and analysis skills with the ability to draft clear, well-structured legal documents. Good time management and the ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to organize case files, manage legal documents, and navigate the discovery process. Effective client communication and maintenance of interaction records. Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct standards. Fundamental negotiation techniques for client interactions and settlements. Must be within commuting distance to courthouses throughout the San Jose, California area. Compensation
