You’ll remove blockers, set direction, and balance execution with long-term maintainability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, cares deeply about engineering quality, and wants to grow as both a technical contributor and people leader. 10+ years of professional JVM development experience 10+ years working with SQL databases Strong familiarity with SOAP and REST APIs, especially 3rd-party integrations Proven ability to analyze business problems and design customer-focused solutions Experience mentoring or leading less-experienced developers Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Familiarity with agile software development practices Background in healthcare, enterprise SaaS, or regulated industries a plus What You’ll Do

Within the first 90 days, you’ve built strong trust with your team and cross-functional partners, creating clarity on priorities and ensuring your engineers are focused on high-impact work. You consistently deliver client integrations and enhancements on time, with a measurable improvement in code quality, documentation, and team velocity. You’ve established repeatable practices for troubleshooting and delivery that reduce escalations and improve reliability across projects. Your engineers feel supported and challenged - you’ve provided mentorship, unblocked issues, and helped them grow while raising the overall performance bar. By 12 months, you’ve introduced at least one process or technical improvement that scales beyond your immediate team and contributes to long-term client engineering efficiency.
