The Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor is looking for their next Assistant Director of Sales to join their team. The property features 757 guestrooms and over 100,000 square feet of meeting space, with the largest room at 26,712 square feet, and is located near Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and Camden Yards, connected to the Baltimore Convention Center by a covered sky bridge. Responsibilities
Assist the group sales team and contribute to business strategies that are creative, dynamic, and impactful toward achieving the hotel’s annual budget and crossover targets. Own and manage a key vertical market for the hotel and provide leadership support to the commercial strategies for the sales team. Help the sales team connect strategy with business processes to improve performance across revenue streams (Rooms, Catering, Events). Support deployment, team composition, and activities using a predictive and prescriptive approach to drive performance. Lead segments of daily and weekly business reviews and sales strategy meetings. Contribute to the hotel’s commercial strategy plan in collaboration with the DOSM/DOS and regional support teams. Develop and execute plans for outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline that meets short- and long-term objectives for the designated market. Represent the hotel in all sales interactions, including proposals and contracts; conduct site inspections tailored to customer needs. Qualifications
Sales leadership experience from an Assistant Director or Senior Sales Manager role with a minimum of three years in hotel group sales. A proven track record of success and a strong drive to support the team and be a top performer. Strong sales, communication, and networking skills with the ability to understand customer needs and qualify, negotiate, and secure new revenue. Strategy & Leadership
Contribute to the hotel’s annual multi-year strategic and commercial plans in partnership with hotel leadership and regional support. Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business. Develop and execute a monthly, quarterly, and annual business plan for the designated market and maintain a robust pipeline. Lead enterprise and hotel-level sales initiatives and support team members during absences or remote work. Provide feedback for performance reviews of sales managers and support staff; promote Hilton’s DEI and ESG goals. What we’re looking for
