Vice President of Acquisitions
Salary :$150K- $175k base + deal-based bonuses
About the Role We are looking for a Vice President of Acquisitions to lead our efforts in sourcing, analyzing, and executing acquisitions as we expand our network of assisted living centers. This is a newly created leadership position, offering the right candidate an opportunity to shape the acquisitions strategy and build a repeatable, scalable process for growth.
The VP of Acquisitions will be responsible for identifying high-potential opportunities, conducting financial and market analysis, negotiating purchase agreements, and managing the transaction process from start to close. The ideal candidate has significant experience in real estate investment or healthcare M&A, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisition Strategy & Sourcing
Develop and execute a comprehensive acquisitions strategy to support company growth goals.
Build and maintain a pipeline of acquisition targets, including single sites and portfolios of assisted living facilities.
Network with brokers, owners, and developers to generate deal flow.
Financial & Market Analysis
Conduct underwriting, financial modeling, and valuation of potential acquisitions.
Perform market research to evaluate demand drivers, the competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations.
Prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations to executive leadership.
Lead negotiations, deal structuring, and due diligence.
Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth and timely closings.
Oversee transition planning for acquired properties to ensure operational success post-acquisition.
Cultivate relationships with capital partners, lenders, and industry stakeholders.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences to strengthen market presence.
Process Development
Establish best practices, systems, and metrics for acquisitions to enable efficient, repeatable growth.
Build a small but high-performing acquisitions team as deal volume grows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field (MBA or MS in Real Estate preferred).
8–12+ years of experience in real estate investment, private equity, healthcare M&A, or related fields.
Strong track record of sourcing, underwriting, and closing profitable acquisitions.
Deep understanding of real estate market dynamics, valuation methods, and deal structuring.
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills.
Skilled negotiator with the ability to drive favorable terms.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and building new processes from scratch.
