Atlantic Group is seeking a Vice President of Finance / Controller to oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, and reporting for the firm. This senior leadership position requires a strong background in the alternative investments industry, exceptional technical expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Base pay range
$220,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the finance and accounting function, including corporate accounting, fund accounting oversight, financial reporting, and internal controls. Direct preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements, investor reporting packages, and regulatory filings. Oversee treasury, cash management, and capital calls/distributions processes. Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, and other third-party service providers. Ensure strong internal controls, policies, and procedures are in place and aligned with best practices. Mentor and develop finance and accounting team members. Provide financial insight to support investment decision-making, new product launches, and firm growth initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred. Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in the alternative investments industry (private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or asset management). Strong technical accounting background with knowledge of U.S. GAAP and investment company accounting. Proven leadership experience managing teams and external relationships. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment and adapt to evolving business needs. Compensation and work arrangement
Base salary range: $230,000 – $250,000 Annual performance-based bonus Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office (Boston), 2 days remote Seniority level
