Overview

UNC Health Children seeks a Pediatric Neurologist (MD/DO) to join its clinical faculty in Wilmington, NC. This is a full-time, open rank clinical faculty position on a fixed-term track with the option of part-time. The practice is part of an innovative partnership between UNC Health, UNC School of Medicine, and Novant Health to provide specialty care to children in southeastern and coastal North Carolina. The Wilmington facility is a full-spectrum community-based multispecialty practice and children’s hospital that includes a 45-bed Level III NICU, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and inpatient unit. NH-NHRMC is the tertiary care referral hospital for children in Coastal and Southeastern NC through this partnership. Responsibilities

Provide clinical neurology care in a multi-specialty academic practice setting with two other pediatric neurologists and two advanced practice providers at the Wilmington regional campus. Develop and perform clinical activities in surrounding outreach locations in Southeastern NC. Interpret EEGs and participate in educational opportunities with medical students, other health profession students, and residents in Wilmington. Engage in research opportunities as available, though not the primary focus of the center. Contribute to the teaching and mentoring of trainees and participate in ongoing program development. Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Additional training in sleep medicine or epilepsy is preferred, but not required. Ability to interpret EEGs is required. Employment Details
