Overview
The Walker Art Center is hiring for a Gift Officer (Corporate Partnerships). The base pay range is $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr. This position reports to the Director of Major Giving and Institutional Relations and is part of the Development and Membership team. The organization seeks to build and manage partnerships with corporate donors, sponsors, and related stakeholder groups to support operations, exhibitions, programs, events, and strategic priorities. What You Get To Do
Portfolio Management: Corporate Partners and Prospects — Maintain a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects (60-85+), with annual contributions ranging from $5,000 to $100,000+; participate in fundraising strategy meetings; build relationships with corporate executives; secure contributions to meet fundraising goals; conduct one-to-one meetings to qualify, cultivate, solicit, retain, upgrade, engage, and steward partners; create presentations and proposals; manage direct solicitations and negotiations; draft and execute agreements; ensure benefits fulfillment and reporting; grow donor relationships; engage trustees and committee members; coordinate with staff, vendors, partners, and volunteers; ensure donor data is recorded in Tessitura; follow donor development best practices; provide progress reports. Program Management: Corporate Membership and Sponsorship — Manage the Corporate Partners Program; develop annual engagement strategies through memberships, foundation grants, sponsorships, in-kind contributions, and employee matching gifts; review and refresh the program to grow the pipeline and meet revenue goals; evaluate program effectiveness, gather partner feedback, perform sponsorship valuations, and stay current on trends; collaborate with Development leadership on projections and budgets; lead event sponsorship planning with partners and staff; develop creative packages with valuable benefits; produce materials to promote partnerships; manage benefits and communications plans; coordinate with internal teams to enhance the program. Additional Responsibilities — Maintain knowledge of the Walker’s mission and priorities; ensure compliance with Finance; participate in trainings; stay current on fundraising trends; cultivate donors and prospects, including some evenings and weekends; maintain donor records and ensure accurate tracking and reporting; liaise with peers at other organizations; assist with other departmental duties as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ fundraising experience focused on corporate giving, sponsorship, and/or institutional relations. Proven track record of developing relationships with corporate partners and soliciting, closing, and stewarding contributions and sponsorships. Experience managing a donor portfolio with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to represent the Walker professionally. Excellent storytelling, writing, and verbal communication; ability to create proposals, presentations, and reports. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Thrives in a collaborative environment; discretion with confidential matters. Proficiency with CRM/donor databases, Microsoft Office, and Adobe applications. Availability to work weekends and evenings as needed. Preferred Skills
Experience in the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Tessitura experience. Physical Demands

This position is full-time, exempt. The compensation is $65,000 - $75,000 annually. Benefits information is available on the Walker benefits page.
