Location: Lynchburg, VA (example location mentioned in original posting). The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all store roles, reports to the District Manager, and is responsible for day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development of store teammates. This role supports Monro’s vision to be America’s leading auto and tire service centers by promoting products and services to guests and driving sales and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
Develop sales and technical teammates to deliver a consistent 5-star guest experience. Achieve sales goals through development and execution of sales plans and thorough knowledge of services and products. Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales, satisfaction, and loyalty. Train and develop teammates on shop operations and guest services; provide direction and oversight to technicians. Manage store staffing, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and development. Control expenses through payroll, utilities, store maintenance, supplies, and other controllable costs. Oversee inventory management including pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory. Audit courtesy inspections and ensure the store is maintained to Monro standards of cleanliness and guest readiness. Schedule guest appointments and assign tasks according to skill levels to ensure efficient and timely service. Inform and recommend tire and service products and promotions to meet sales goals. Address guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments; build guest relationships to drive satisfaction and retention. Convey repair and service needs clearly to guests; adhere to company policies, governmental standards (including environmental codes), and OSHA standards. Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training and operate equipment safely per guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail/sales environment. Proven ability to manage, drive, and deliver financial results while controlling costs. Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals; strong problem-solving and inventory management skills. Effective communication with teammates and guests. Commitment to completing all required Monro training on schedule. Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory MVR. Work Environment & Physical Requirements
The job operates in an automotive shop environment with moderate noise, exposure to chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for long periods, and frequent reaching, squatting, bending, and kneeling. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Benefits
