Overview Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a Director, Product Sales within our Personal Care product division. This position is based at our Northfield, IL headquarters. The Director, Product Sales will drive execution of sales plans through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting, translate division sales strategy into action, and lead the development of future product and service extensions and marketing strategy. This role will manage high-level sales relationships and oversee the product expert team and resources focused on Medline’s product portfolio and related sales initiatives.

Job Description Job Responsibilities:

Sales Partnership: Establish overall key strategy and go-to-market approaches with Medline Sales Leaders; communicate with sales partners to target and strategize opportunities; reinforce division direction with the sales specialist team; lead weekly check-ins, goal setting, objection handling, pipeline management.

Research & Planning / Business Review: Oversee delivery of business reviews with Division Product Management; ensure materials/resources are available for customer needs plans; oversee development and delivery of competitive analysis materials and presentations.

Customer Engagement: Direct and oversee customer engagements from initial presentations to final implementation related to conversions to Therapy & Rehab products; maintain tools and resources for the team; foster relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders; own issue resolution and determine training needs; understand customer business and analyze system and product needs.

Program Execution / Implementation: Serve as the point of escalation for conflicts; oversee implementation of specialist-led product conversions and implementations; plan and manage multiple initiatives for program creation and trial support.

Product Development: Identify product positioning and opportunities; oversee market research and track trends; ensure transfer of feedback for product improvements and potential new products; represent Medline at key customer conventions when requested.

Management Responsibilities: Typically manages through multiple Managers; provide leadership and management to major departments; engage in strategic, tactical and operational planning; own budgetary responsibilities; hire, develop, and evaluate staff; implement policies as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements Education

Bachelor's degree in a business or clinical field.

Work Experience

At least 8 years of overall experience in product management, product development, or sales, including at least 4 years in product sales.

At least 4 years of experience directly managing sales professionals, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Demonstrated ability to execute sales and marketing strategies and tactics; deep knowledge of products, customers, and market needs.

Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues; ability to analyze market trends for presentations, recommendations, and forecasts.

Experience with cross-functional teams and facilitating solution development; strong program management skills with a track record of delivering strategic initiatives.

Ability to present to senior management or C-suite to influence decisions; strong communications planning and execution skills; proficient in MS Office.

Travel up to 50% of the time (domestic); environment includes office and medical facilities; may require non-traditional hours during in-services (e.g., weekends, multiple shifts).

Salary, Benefits & Other The anticipated salary range for this position is $152,880.00 – $229,320.00 annually. Salary is commensurate with location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
