Overview
Senior ERP Software Engineer / Systems Integrator, Software / Enterprise Systems Team Location: Palo Alto, CA (on-site) About 1X We’re an AI and robotics company based in Palo Alto, California, on a mission to build a truly abundant society through general‑purpose robots capable of performing any kind of work autonomously. We believe that to truly understand the world and grow in intelligence, humanoid robots must live and learn alongside us. That’s why we’re focused on developing friendly home robots designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday life. We’re looking for curious, driven, and passionate people who want to help shape the future of robotics and AI. If this mission excites you, we’d be thrilled to hear from you and explore how you might contribute to our journey. Role Overview
The Senior ERP Software Engineer / Systems Integrator will lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and optimization of 1X’s ERP ecosystem. You will ensure that business processes across Sales, Manufacturing, Service, Finance, and Supply Chain are well supported, by configuring, extending, and integrating our ERP platform. Your work will enable scalable, reliable, and efficient operations as we scale towards full‑scale manufacturing. Responsibilities
Architect, configure, customize, and maintain the ERP implementation (primarily Odoo Enterprise Edition) to support workflows across Sales & CRM, Manufacturing (BOMs, work orders, production planning, quality control), and Service (ticketing, spare parts, field service). Design and build integrations with third‑party systems, including NetSuite for accounting/finance, microservices for requirements not natively supported, and APIs for internal tools and partner systems. Develop custom ERP modules using Python and the Odoo framework, ensuring maintainability and compatibility with future upgrades. Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Service, Finance) to gather requirements and translate those into technical solutions. Optimize performance of ERP instance, database queries, and external/internal integrations for reliability and speed. Establish and enforce best practices for ERP development: version control, automated testing, deployment processes. Drive adoption of standards and tooling to support scalable growth of the ERP environment.
