Overview
AXA XL is seeking the Head of Pricing, Americas on the Pricing & Analytics Leadership Team supporting AXA XL’s insurance division. The role is responsible for leading two actuarial teams and indirectly leading all product Heads of Pricing that support the Americas region. The position reports to the Chief Pricing Actuary. Responsibilities
Lead the pricing and analytics priorities for the Americas region in support of the underwriting strategy. Communicate pricing data and insights to influence and inform the BU underwriting strategy. Present pricing metrics to regional executives and AXA XL GLT executives. Support the Americas CEO and underwriting leaders to ensure appropriate portfolio monitoring and delivery of the business plan. Influence the region’s business plan by communicating loss ratios, trends, and pricing metrics while considering local market conditions and regional strategy. Participate in the Portfolio Design Steering Group to determine Grow, Maintain, Fix designations and select Deep Dives. Promote the usage of pricing models and analytical solutions within the Americas region. Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team including direct reports and the broader Pricing & Analytics team in the Americas. Act as a key member and influencer on the Pricing & Analytics leadership team. Collaborate with Heads of Pricing for each Product to balance regional needs with global consistency. Regularly communicate with product pricing teams to stay informed about latest trends and changes. Engage with underwriting and pricing to solve complex problems through analytical solutions. Lead and support broader activities for Pricing & Analytics team members located in the Americas, including recruitment, internships, actuarial policy, and professional bodies coordination. You will report to the Chief Pricing Actuary. Qualifications
Extensive experience in non-life insurance and pricing. Qualification level – Qualified Actuary or equivalent. Experience in the US non-life insurance market across large commercial, specialty and middle market. Experience communicating with and influencing executive leaders. Integrity to ensure professional standards when challenged. Ability to manage multiple key priorities effectively. Excellent influencing and negotiating skills. Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field. Leadership skills to build consensus and drive progress. Impeccable verbal and written communications skills. Extensive experience in strategic decision making and solutions. About AXA XL

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $280,000 USD. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience and location.
