Senior Manager, Network Engineering (REMOTE) at GEICO. This role leads the Network Services engineering organization, driving strategy and execution of a technical roadmap to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise networks across private and public cloud, campus, core, and WAN environments. Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of network engineers in a 24x7 large-scale, mission-critical environment Collaborate with senior leadership to address project dependencies, estimate delivery dates, and deliver projects on time Own end-to-end delivery of team strategy, platforms, and services Identify and raise project risks with detailed, implementable solutions Develop, maintain, and track service performance metrics for effectiveness and improvement Report team progress on projects and key metrics; present ideas to improve delivery Assess how requirements and design choices impact systems across multiple areas Initiate and support performance evaluations of team members Cultivate a high-performance culture across all levels Identify skill gaps, remediate gaps, and challenge the team to learn new technologies Build and maintain relationships to foster trust Develop the team budget and report results regularly Contribute to team planning and surfacing associate-level proposals Qualifications

Experience with network technology and environments including data center, private/public cloud, campus, and WAN Knowledge of secure network designs and security compliance Experience with network performance, capacity, configuration, and fault management tools Knowledge of software and system design; cloud computing concepts (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) Experience with Linux, virtualization, containers (Docker), and cloud infrastructure Experience with software development, delivery lifecycle, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jira, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Anchore, SonarQube) and IaC tools Knowledge of API, microservices, network and security architectures Proficiency with Python, JSON, XML, RESTful services; open-source software a plus Strong conflict management, decision-making, and negotiation skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies; strong cloud architecture and capacity planning skills Ability to construct and apply metrics to inform decisions and prioritization Experience

6+ years in network infrastructure engineering and operations 6+ years of coding experience desired 5+ years in large-scale, mission-critical environments 5+ years building scalable, fault-tolerant products and platforms 5+ years supervising personnel in a technical environment 3+ years scripting/coding in Bash, Python, Go, Ansible, or Terraform 2+ years of automated testing (Unit, Integration, End-to-End) desired Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range above is a general guideline. GEICO may sponsor work authorization for this position.
