Overview
Drug Hunter is an essential knowledge platform for industry R&D innovators turning molecules into medicines. The Industry Research Scientist will build relationships with members through product and feature demonstrations and trainings, facilitate events and workshops highlighting the platform, and create high-quality educational content for Drug Hunter's audience of industry professionals. The role requires scientific expertise, a strong understanding of industry trends, and exceptional communication skills to distill complex information into engaging resources. Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Conduct engaging demonstrations to technical audiences including PhD medicinal chemists, showcasing the capabilities of the Drug Hunter platform Develop and deliver presentations tailored to Drug Hunter members and prospects working in small molecule drug discovery Present highlights in small molecule drug discovery featuring content curated from Drug Hunter to inform and inspire audiences Stay informed and report on the latest trends, breakthroughs, and developments in small molecule drug discovery within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries Synthesize information from multiple sources into concise, insightful educational content (e.g., reviews on scientific concepts, drug targets, modalities, and technologies) Prepare educational articles and summaries based on webinars, interviews, and recordings on a regular basis Develop and review a variety of educational resources for Drug Hunter members, including cheat sheets, calculators, posters, and directories Create and review engaging social media posts to promote Drug Hunter articles, events, and webinars Prepare and review content for newsletters, ensuring relevance and value for different audience segments Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, business development, sales, and product teams to develop presentations, webinars, demos, and articles Contribute to the production of video and audio content for educational and marketing purposes Attend and organize mixers, dinners, and other networking events Other duties as required Requirements
Ph.D. in chemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related scientific field 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on drug discovery Strong scientific writing, editing, and data synthesis skills Ability to independently research and distill complex scientific topics for a professional audience Digitally native, comfortable with social media, software, databases, literature search tools, and new technologies and platforms, and eager to apply new best practices to a growing organization Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a remote work environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet strict deadlines Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Drug Hunter's platform and tools Established network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries Experience with scientific content creation and data analysis Instructions To Apply
