We are seeking an experienced and servant-minded General Manager to lead Fayette’s next chapter of growth. This role is ideal for a results-driven, people-focused leader who thrives on scaling operations, building culture, and shaping strategy in a fast-growing environment. Scope & Impact
Revenue:
$38M with +36% growth since 2022; Targeting $42–45M (+8–10%) in 2025. Team:
180 employees, with 11 direct reports spanning Sales, Finance, Dispatch, Call Center, Plumbing, Operations, HVAC Service (2), Electrical, Install, and Warehouse. Business Mix:
82% Residential | 5% Commercial | 13% Construction. Trade Mix:
56% HVAC | 19% Plumbing | 12% Electrical | 13% Construction. Transition:
Current GM advancing to Market GM role, providing a strong succession opportunity. Challenges:
Balancing Fayette’s legacy workforce with evolving processes, tools, and cultural expectations. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
– Drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth while honoring Fayette’s customer-first legacy. Operational Excellence
– Oversee day-to-day operations across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and construction with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Team Leadership
– Mentor, coach, and develop 11 direct reports; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and servant leadership. Financial Stewardship
– Own P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI performance for $40M+ in annual revenue. Customer & Community Impact
– Strengthen Fayette’s reputation in the Lexington market through exceptional service and community engagement. Change Leadership
– Guide legacy employees through modernization and adoption of new systems, processes, and growth initiatives. Qualifications
10+ years of progressive leadership in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or related service industries. P&L ownership (preferred $25M+). Strong leadership skills with a servant-leadership mindset—able to inspire, coach, and elevate teams. Ability to manage multi-trade operations and lead diverse business lines. Strategic thinker who balances growth with operational discipline. Exceptional communication skills to align teams, engage employees, and represent Fayette in the community.
