Associate Director, Practice Management
– Jackson Medical Group, Full-time, Days Department : Jackson Medical Group - Physician Practice Management (Operationally Support for JMG Highland Multispecialty, JMH Heart Institute, JMG Coral Gables) Address : 1611 NW 12th Ave, Miami, Florida, 33136 Shift details : Full-Time, Days Responsibilities
Oversee the organizational and governance infrastructure of assigned Jackson Medical Group (JMG) physician practices, including practices with JHS employed physicians. Plan and maintain on-site operations for assigned practices under the direction of the Director of Practice Management. Supervise Practice Managers, manage practice workflow, and coordinate coding, billing, reconciliation processes, and staff/physician relations. Coordinate new practice start-ups within the assigned territory and ensure implementation of JMG/JHS risk management policies, training, and education programs to ensure best-practice compliance. Develop, with Jackson Health System senior management, an alignment strategy for JHS-owned and affiliated practices that supports physician participation in governance, management, and budgeting. Direct and organize activities, services, human resources, and materials required to establish and open a new practice; obtain required tax-ID and billing numbers in advance. Develop and recommend clinical processes, programs, and services to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Monitor patient flow to ensure appropriate utilization of physician time and staff coverage. Prepare comparative analyses of practice data against industry standards (revenue, expenses, productivity, staffing, scheduling). Review charges, visits, and cash receipts for variations; conduct spot audits to ensure compliance. Ensure physician billing and collection activities meet compliance standards, including CPT-4 and ICD coding; maintain working knowledge of documentation audits related to procedure coding. Meet with each physician group at least quarterly to review productivity, quality indicators, and the financial/operational performance of the practice. Qualifications and Experience
Generally requires 7 to 10 years of related experience. Management experience is required. Prior demonstrated experience leading multiple physician practices preferred. Education and Credentials
Bachelor's degree in related field is required. Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty. Equal Opportunity
