Participation in the Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) on-site in a host company in an entry to mid-level role. On-the-job training supporting a 40-hour work week. Programs focus on providing fellowship-style job skills training and a pipeline for transitioning service members into Northrop Grumman roles. DoD SkillBridge Eligibility
Has served at least 180 days on active duty. Is within 12 months of separation or retirement. Will receive an honorable discharge. Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months. Has written authorization from the Unit Commander to participate prior to start of internship. Positions

Roles are 100% onsite in Huntsville, AL. The role emphasizes Java and Object Oriented development (not web development). Basic Qualifications
Software Engineer level: 2 years with a Bachelor in STEM or Master’s degree. Principal Software Engineer level: 5 years with a Bachelor in STEM; 3 years with a Master; 1 year with a PhD. Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain Secret Clearance. Experience developing software using Java and C++. Experience developing software on Linux. Experience managing source code with Git, GitHub, or GitLab. Understanding of all software development phases and practical experience in an Agile/DevOps environment. Meets DoD SkillBridge qualifications per DoDI 1322.29. Desired Qualifications
Experience with Python, JavaFX, JavaScript, Bash, Perl, XML. Experience with Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Jupyter Notebook, OSGi, Google Guice. Experience with Unit testing, JUnit, Automated Testing, Squish, Jenkins, DevOps. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jira/Confluence. Experience with MIL-STD 6016 (L16), Modeling and Simulation, MBSE, Blue Force Tracker (BFT), IBS, ADS-B. Experience with C2BMC or THAAD or related sensor/weapon systems. Security+ certification. Primary Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00; Secondary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives may apply. Benefits include health and life insurance, savings plan, holidays, and PTO. Additional Information
