Global Life Science Hub is partnering with a leading biologics company establishing an advanced manufacturing facility in New Jersey. We are seeking a
Site Director of Engineering & Facilities
to own engineering, facilities, utilities, and capital projects as the site scales from clinical to full commercial supply. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for setting technical and engineering strategy, driving reliability programs, and ensuring GMP readiness across a fast-growing biologics site. You’ll shape a flagship facility as it ramps up large-scale commercial drug substance and fill-finish operations. Key Responsibilities
Lead all engineering, maintenance, utilities, and capital project activities across the site. Develop and oversee preventative maintenance and reliability programs in line with GMP standards. Direct design, installation, qualification, and validation of new equipment and systems. Manage site-wide capital investments covering facilities, utilities, and manufacturing systems. Oversee calibration, validation, and documentation programs to ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with cross-functional leadership to ensure site objectives are achieved. Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, ensuring robust training and strong performance management. Support regulatory inspections and ensure audit readiness across all engineering functions. Drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability strategies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline (advanced qualifications a plus). 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biopharma engineering, including GMP facility operations and capital projects. Proven leadership in aseptic manufacturing, biologics, or fill-finish environments. Strong track record delivering large-scale engineering projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of FDA/EMA regulations, cGMP, and EHS standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range : $160,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Pay range note : This range is provided by Global Life Science Hub. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Location : New Jersey Additional Information
Full-time, on-site role in New Jersey. Relocation support is available for qualified U.S.-based applicants willing to move to the area.
