Overview
Business Analyst – Digital Asset Management (DAM) Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for DAM initiatives and enhancements. Collaborate with business stakeholders, creative teams, marketing, and IT to define use cases and workflows for digital asset storage, retrieval, rights management, and distribution. Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for DAM solutions. Partner with DAM vendors, solution architects, and development teams to implement, configure, and integrate DAM platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager Assets, Bynder, Aprimo, Widen, etc.). Define and enforce metadata models, taxonomy structures, tagging standards, and governance policies. Support migration of digital assets, ensuring quality, accessibility, and compliance with brand and legal guidelines. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), prepare training materials, and support onboarding of business users. Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to measure DAM adoption and performance. Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend continuous improvement opportunities. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Digital Media, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years working on DAM platforms. Strong knowledge of DAM processes, metadata, taxonomies, and content lifecycle management. Hands-on experience with one or more DAM systems (e.g., AEM Assets, Bynder, Aprimo, Widen, OpenText Media Management). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps. Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to analyze complex business needs and propose innovative DAM solutions. Preferred Skills
Experience integrating DAM with CMS, PIM, CRM, or Marketing Automation platforms. Knowledge of digital rights management, GDPR, and copyright compliance. Understanding of creative/marketing workflows, including Adobe Creative Cloud. Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills. Seniority level
