APeX Patient Access Application Analyst – Cadence
Epic-certified Application Analyst with expertise in Cadence and Referrals seeking to advance your career at a leading hospital. This full-time role focuses on patient access and scheduling optimization.
Overview Location: San Francisco, CA • Department: Clinical Systems – Business Applications • Start Date: ASAP • Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours, onsite
Responsibilities
Configure, support, and optimize Epic Cadence scheduling workflows
Serve as the primary analyst for Cadence, Referrals, and self-scheduling projects
Support referral management and patient self-scheduling workflows (open and direct scheduling)
Collaborate with cross-functional Epic teams to resolve integration issues (especially Ambulatory Orders)
Analyze, test, and validate Epic upgrades and new releases for operational impact
Partner with operational leaders to design scalable workflow improvements in patient access
Provide user support, workflow documentation, and training across professional and technical levels
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare IT, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience/training)
Certification:
Epic Cadence certification; Epic Referral & Authorization certification; Epic MyChart certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months); Epic Decision Tree Badge (or ability to obtain within 6 months); Epic Ambulatory certification
Experience:
3–5 years of related clinical applications experience or equivalent; hands-on experience with scheduling, referrals, and self-scheduling workflow build; experience supporting Ambulatory Orders workflows in integrated scheduling/referrals; experience designing decision trees, workflows, and conversion validation; strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Benefits
