Regional Vice President of Sales

Overview
Position covers Northeast. Working from a home office with strategic business travel, this position is responsible for the successful execution of the spinal implant distribution sales strategy and utilization of distribution representatives within a designated market. This includes responsibility for the recruitment and successful on-boarding of Direct Sales Management as well as supervising the Field Management recruitment of new Distribution to include both currently open and underperforming territories. What will your duties and responsibilities be?
(The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties as tasks as needed and assigned.) Recruit, develop and enhance the spine sales organization, including exclusive and non-exclusive direct agent groups Build regional business and revenue plan with ASD\\'s and RSM\\'s to include: territory analysis, market opportunity, 30-60-90 objectives, call pattern and frequency, surgeon/hospital penetration strategies, surgeon case funnel by product and required resources to execute plan Build relationships with leading spine surgeons Accelerate regional revenue and market penetration of proprietary products. Achieve assigned sales quota via assigned sales group(s) Ensure teams acquire and maintain clinical competency skills with all proprietary products ensuring area sales growth, case coverage and providing the highest degree of value to our customers at all times Manage the distribution channel to drive the surgical & clinical adoption of spine fusion surgery via Client’s platform technology and techniques within the area Develop the area spine sales forecast/expense budget as part of the business plan Assist with the design and implementation of appropriate area sales controls and reports Interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; motivating, rewarding and disciplining employees Responsible for securing and retaining high caliber ASD\\'s and RSM\\'s and regional independent agents for Surgical Systems Responsible for the achievement of area quarterly and yearly sales objectives Responsible for maintaining expenses within budgeted quarterly allocations Implement successful surgeon training courses as new technology is introduced Perform selling functions independently with ASD\\'s and RSM\\'s, distribution sales management and/or sales representatives in order to meet sales forecast Perform other duties as assigned Education/Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities
7+ years of successful sales and sales management in the spinal implant marketplace (either direct sales or distributorship) 5+ years of sales management experience, preference given to candidates with management experience in a device company and direct sales/distributor experience Successful track record of aggressively business growth year over year Must possess top level business management, interpersonal skills and computer skills Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and be a polished presenter Must have a stable work history Must live within geographic region and within 75 miles of a major airport Must be willing and able to travel as needed (at least three (3) days per week) Seniority level
