Overview
This position is a hybrid role that can be based out of San Diego, CA or Seattle, WA. The role focuses on sourcing and supplier engagement for new product development (NPD/NPI) programs from concept through pilot and ramp. You will partner with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Operations to build costed BOMs, compress prototype lead times, mitigate risk, and achieve launch targets for Amphenol CMT products. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Proposes changes to procedures and work instructions related to the purchasing function when existing procedures no longer apply or opportunities for improvement arise. Meets with suppliers, customers and quality representatives as necessary; monitors backlog, identifies potential problems that may prevent on-time delivery, and recommends solutions. Ensures timely review of MRP requirements to ensure on-time deliveries of goods and services and maintains accuracy of ERP parameters related to the purchasing function. Meets regularly with management and other support functions (Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Accounting) to ensure flawless execution of the business plan. Generates status reports for management that indicate the health of the purchasing function. Monitors and assists with corrective actions issued to the purchasing function. Translates program requirements into sourcing strategies; develops and executes RFx for proto, pre-production, and ramp. Builds costed BOMs, negotiates target costs/should costs, and drives PPV to goals without schedule risk. Qualifies and onboard new suppliers; leads NDA/MSA/SOW/PO terms with Legal/Compliance. Secures long lead items and tooling; manages capacity and material risk. Plans proto and pilot builds; places and expedites POs to hit design/test gates and customer milestones. Monitors supplier on-time-delivery and quality; leads RCCA for proto escapes and implements prevention. Maintains accurate item masters/BOMs, lead times, and pricing in ERP/PLM; supports ECOs. Conducts Make/Buy and dual source decisions; presents tradeoffs to leadership. Tracks and reports NPI sourcing KPIs; hand-offs to Production/Commodity teams at launch. *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 7+ years in procurement/strategic sourcing; 3+ years supporting NPD/NPI programs. Background in medical device manufacturing industries favored. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Conversational in any other language is a plus. JOB SKILLS
Advanced in MS Office Suite and SharePoint. Proficient in ERP systems, SAP preferred. Experience with commodities typical to ACMT (resins, cable/wire, PCBs, electronic components, packaging). Basic knowledge of cost/price analysis and should-costing. Familiar with quality systems (ISO 13485), PPAP/APQP or FAI, and GD&T drawings. Strong negotiation, supplier development, and project management skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer; frequently use hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Approximately 25% travel expected. SALARY INFORMATION
Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr. This range is a guideline; final offer depends on responsibilities, scope, experience, education, skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations. Additional rewards may include merit increases and discretionary annual bonus.
