The hospital has enhanced and expanded health care services with a state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics and a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible experienced podiatrist to join their growing group. This is a unique opportunity to build a thriving podiatry practice while enjoying the support of a well-established multi-specialty clinic. Responsibilities
Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging for inpatient hospital care of the physician’s patients, including hospital rounds or arranging coverage with hospitalists or other qualified physicians in accordance with Medical Staff requirements. Collaborates with patients, families, and care team members to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at designated clinic locations and any other BJC clinical outreach locations. Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws. Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to BJC and in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws, while following all BJC policies and procedures and applicable standards. Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers, support staff, or other care team members involved in the physician’s patient panel. Performs in a safety-sensitive role where staying alert and safe is essential. Minimum Requirements
Education: Doctorate-Medicine Experience: No Experience (preferred 2-5 years) Licenses & Certifications: BOARD ELIGIBLE OR BOARD CERTIFIED; Licensed Physician Benefits
