Salary: The previously determined range for this position was $36.08.36/hr to $80.98/hr. The final rate offered will be determined by the collective bargaining agreement, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints. The Staff Nurse I provides direct patient care and supports patient outcomes by integrating Shared Leadership, Evidence Based Practice, Relationship Based Care, and standards of nursing excellence into clinical practice. This role uses professional practice models, current standards of practice, and clinical experience to deliver quality patient care. The Staff Nurse I advocates for patients and families, develops patient educational plans, and collaborates with the health care team to promote effective care. Participates in organizational, departmental, and shared leadership activities and supports department goals. Duties & Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and updates the patient’s plan of care based on ongoing assessment and input from the patient’s family. Shares information and collaborates with the health care team to promote effective patient care. Verifies and implements orders from physicians and other providers; documents in the electronic medical record. Engages patient and/or family to develop appropriate educational plans. Recognizes symptoms, establishes priorities, and responds to changing patient needs. Delegates tasks to support personnel per the Illinois State Nurse Practice Act and provides supervision and feedback. Advocates for patients, families, and the nursing profession. Integrates knowledge, evidence-based research, and current standards to provide quality care. Assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned. Collaborates with nurses to support staff and student learning; serves as preceptor/resource as needed. Pursues ongoing professional growth and development. Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Current BLS/CPR and/or other required unit-specific certifications. ACLS 2 years Cardiac ICU or 2 years ER if no Cath or EP lab experience. BSN Flex shifts 10 hour Days M-F with Night, Weekend, and holiday On-Call rotation Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills, dependability, and work history Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for taking Call Preferred Qualifications
