Full or part time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in San Diego, CA Responsibilities

Our Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner gets to pick their own schedule! Enjoy the freedom to create your own custom schedules with the perfect work / life balance. Typically, our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner work between Mondays – Fridays somewhere between the hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Assess patient’s mental and physical status based on symptoms. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, or nursing staff, to develop, implement, or evaluate treatment plans. Consult with psychiatrists or other professionals when unusual or complex cases are encountered. Develop and implement treatment plans. Distinguish between physiologically and psychologically based disorders and diagnose appropriately. Prescribe appropriate medications for physical and mental health issues. Plan and institute a course of treatment demonstrating knowledge of drug action, interaction, and reactions. Prescribe or recommend controlled medications according to existing core privile Additional Duties

MSN-Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner with Post Masters Psych certification PMHNP Active state License with DEA or DEA in process Long term Care / Short Term Rehab experience is a plus
